the other的用法 theother是什么意思

the other的用法比較固定，包含兩層意思：
1. the表示特定的，不是隨便的 。
2. other表示其他的，相當于形容詞，后面要加名詞的，不能單獨使用 。
我們同學往往會記得the other + 名詞單數，表示兩個中的另一個 。但實際上，the other 還可以加名詞復數，表示兩批中的另一批（一般翻譯成余下所有），相當于把一個整體分成了兩個部分 。
于是，我們得出以下結論：
1. the other無論加單數還是復數，都相當于把原來的事物“一分為二”，先說一個（或一部分），然后再說另一個（或另一部分）
2. the other加單數也可以，加復數也可以 。只是翻譯不同，但根本邏輯是相同的 。
