I read a piece of interesting news two weeks ago that I would like to share today. It wasabout how three Oxford University professors required a special organization’s CryonicsLaboratory to freeze their bodies after they die, so that they could be revived 100 yearsfrom now when the technology allows it.One professor said that he wanted his entirebody to be frozen，while the other two would just like their heads frozen. They had topay a lot of money to keep them “on ice” after they die.
Many people think that it is not sensible.as brain cells will likely die with their bodies andtherefore will not preserve their thoughts. But，who can predict the future? Look at peo-ple in the past. I’m sure they couldn’t imagine that earth could send people to the moon.
I remember watching many science fiction movies. People’s dead bodies were frozen andbrought to other worlds. There.they became super human-robot hybrids. If science fic-tion could be an accurate indicator of the future. then that would be really cool!But I alsothink it would be super weird for someone to suddenly wake up and live amongst theirgreat great grandkids in 100 years.
