對象：是動作和行為的對象，也是動作的接受者 。賓語由名詞、代詞、不定式和動名詞充當，或者由一個句子充當，這種句子稱為賓語從句 。
現代漢語對賓語的解釋是:賓語是動詞的一種連帶成分，一般在動詞后面，用來回答“誰”或“什么” 。例如“我找寫作老師”的“寫作老師”，“他開寶馬車”的“寶馬車”，“他說他不知道雅思”的“他不知道雅思” 。有時候一個動詞可以帶兩個賓語，如 。“教我們英語”的“我們”和“英語” 。換成英語就是:He teaches us English.
△英語的及物動詞后必須有賓語 。賓語一般放在及物動詞之后，它和及物動詞一起說明主語做什么 。
△值得注意的是，除及物動詞有賓語之外，英語介詞后面也要有賓語 。另外，某些形容詞如worth, careful等后也可有賓語 。構成:及物動詞/介詞/某些形容詞+賓語 。
