My parents are two people I know who have aged exceptionally well. I say this because:我認為我的父母是我所認識的人中保養的格外好的,我這樣說是因為:
They look almost exactly the same today as they did 25 years ago (as evidenced by the 2 pictures below)他們現在看起來和25年前幾乎一樣(下面提供兩張照片證明)

All this isn’t a coincidence because they both work pretty hard on their health. Here are some interesting things I’ve observed:所有這些都不是巧合因為他們倆都很注重健康,下面就是一些我注意到的趣事:
Once I woke up from my sleep in the dead of night to find my dad pacing up and down in the living room. Concerned, I asked him if anything was wrong. He said he was trying to finish the day’s 10,000 steps.一次我半夜醒來發現爸爸在客廳來回踱步,我很擔心地問他怎么了,他說正在努力完成當天的10,000步的目標 。

My mother never misses her morning walk. She’s actually the one nagging my dad to get out of bed and walk everyday!媽媽早上散步從未耽誤過,其實每天她都是把我爸爸從床上嘮叨下來去散步 。
My father has actually refused to eat his own birthday cake (but this is just showing off! I think he was trying to make us eat healthier by example)我爸爸真的拒絕過吃自己的生日蛋糕(但這只是為了炫耀!我認為他是為了向我們示范飲食要更健康)

The bottomline is they work very, very hard.最后就是他們工作非常非常努力 。

Why do older people have trouble walking and, in more severe cases, begin to fall because their bodies are too weak?為什么老年人走路困難,更嚴重的還會開始摔倒?因為他們的身體太虛弱了 。
The older you get, the more muscle you lose. It’s called sarcopenia. According to one study.年齡越大,損失的肌肉越多 。一項研究表明,這叫作“肌少癥” 。

Picking up weights and moving a few dozen times will prevent, and even reverse Sarcopenia.增重或移動數十次將能預防甚至使肌少癥逆轉 。
So if you want to be able to walk when you’re 70 years old, get a gym membership.所以如果你想在70歲時還能走路,去健身房辦個會員吧 。
